SwirlyCurly was born out of frustration at the lack of quality hair products for women with naturally curly afro hair. Keziah Okonkwo created her first product, the Snappee Hair Tie, because she was sick of regular hair ties pulling chunks out of her hair!
Her natural hair journey started 9 years ago when she finally decided to do the 'big chop'. She had to learn how to care for her hair instead of using a relaxer (is curly hair stressed or something? Please!) or texturizer.
After thousands of hours of research, experiments and tears she finally got the BOMB Fro she was working so hard to get. However, between the standard bun for the gym, afros, puffs & up-dos for auditions, she wished she had a hair accessory she could use to transform her hair throughout the day.
So, she created the Snappee Hair Tie. The Snappee allows you to style your hair without snagging your precious locks. The design makes it's easy to create puffs and other creative styles. With Snappees, breakage, tangles, and damage is history!
